Policy Governance & Acceptance Policy

This Policy establishes how all Daily Rentals policies are governed, interpreted, updated, and accepted by users. It ensures consistency, enforceability, and regulatory alignment across the Platform.

1. APPLICABILITY

This Policy applies to:

  • All Hosts, Guests, and users
  • All bookings, listings, payments, disputes, and interactions
  • All related policies, guidelines, and operational standards

Use of the Platform constitutes agreement to comply with all applicable policies.

2. POLICY HIERARCHY

In case of conflict, the following order of precedence applies:

  1. Applicable laws and regulations
  2. Bayut Platform Terms & Conditions
  3. This Policy
  4. Cross-platform governance policies (e.g., Fraud, Disputes, Payments)
  5. Host / Guest Policies
  6. Product-specific policies and operational guidelines

Higher-ranking documents prevail over lower-ranking ones.

3. GOVERNANCE & OWNERSHIP

All Daily Rentals policies are owned and managed by Bayut. Policy oversight is maintained by relevant internal functions, including:

  • Legal & Compliance
  • Risk & Trust
  • Product & Operations

Bayut retains authority to issue and update policies within its governance framework.

4. INTERPRETATION & DISCRETION

Bayut has sole discretion to:

  • Interpret policy provisions
  • Resolve ambiguities
  • Apply policies to specific situations
  • Determine appropriate enforcement actions

Interpretation will be exercised reasonably and in alignment with regulatory obligations and platform integrity.

5. POLICY UPDATES

Bayut may modify or replace any policy at any time to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. Updates become effective upon publication or notification. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised policies.

6. ACCEPTANCE

Users accept applicable policies by:

  • Digital acknowledgment (e.g., checkbox or click-through)
  • Publishing a listing or completing a booking
  • Continuing to use the Platform after updates

If a user does not agree with any policy, they must discontinue use of the Platform.

7. ENFORCEMENT & SURVIVAL

Failure by Bayut to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. If any provision is deemed invalid, remaining provisions remain enforceable.

Provisions relating to liability, fraud, payment recovery, dispute resolution, and governing law survive termination of platform use.
